It’s been an interesting few months hasn’t it? But thank goodness for technology (mainly Zoom) to keep us connected and still learning.

This month it’s been Zoom boom galore and we’ve been getting ready to get back into print for July – something that we’re really excited about.

Meanwhile, our June issue was a bumper 46 pages – when you publish a digital issue you’re not restricted by pagination – but it’s tough to know when to stop writing – we could have included a few more pages but then we might never have got it to press on time!

What we learned

One learning lesson has been that everyone has coped with the lockdown situation in their own way – and that there’s no right or wrong way to handle it.

Some people have embraced the situation and have used it to spend more time with the family, learning new hobbies and enjoying a more carefree, laidback lifestyle.

Others have distracted themselves by keeping busy and carrying on as close to normal as possible. And there have been others that have really struggled with what has become the new norm. In whatever way you’ve handled the situation, it’s important that we seek any help we need – and rally round to support one another.

Producing the digital issues of the magazines has meant that we’ve managed to slow down a little and enjoy some quality family time – and for that we’re truly grateful.

New advertisers

A huge welcome to Dave from The Property Doctor, Thomas Dunton, Liv-In-Chef and Precious Flowers for coming on board for the June issue. We’ve been busy promoting the magazine online – to our newsletter subscribers and across social media and news is spreading fast.

At the time of writing this, we’re planning on being back in print for July – we may have a few distribution hurdles to overcome – namely fewer footfall in places like train stations, but we’re planning on making sure every last magazine gets out there for people to read and will have to revert back to the door-to-door deliveries ourselves for the short term.
